The internet plays a critical role in how we create and maintain our social and professional networks. Unfortunately, some Canadians with disabilities are unable to take full advantage of the benefits the digital realm offers. The Government of Canada recently announced that they will be helping Canadians with disabilities by providing more access to the digital economy.

3 million dollars for funding was announced as part of the 22.3 million Accessible Technology Program, which will help fund development of assistive and adaptive digital devices to help Canadians with disabilities get online.
