The Access for All Carnival in Cold Lake was a great success!  We had various agencies participate, each one doing some kind of activity to demonstrate what life is like with a disability and the creative ways in which one can live with it.  It was a great way to recognize and celebrate the International Day for Persons with Disabilities on December 3rd, 2015.

The EmployAbilities’ booth involved people trying to open and eat pudding with oven mitts on their hands. The students were very creative in figuring out how to do it! Attendance was great and everyone enjoyed the activities – and hopefully, some learning occurred too!

The sled the girl is in is one that Kinosoo Ridge has, to help those with leg and other mobility issues to ski downhill. There are lots of straps for safety and other assists.

“That’s me in the ski sled – I felt like I was going to tip over! But the whole thing was really a lot of fun!”   – Theresa Seraphim, Employment Facilitator, EmployAbilities – Bonnyville
