Youth with disabilities steer us to the future
13 percent of people in Canada who identify as living with a disability are youth, aged 15 to 24 years. The passing of Bill C-81 is good news. The Accessible Canada Act will help get rid of barriers and provide more opportunities for people with disabilities.
“We’ll know success is here when youth and their families of all ethnicities and backgrounds can find meaningful employment, barrier-free travel across the country, equal access to programs and services in mobility-friendly environments and as a society, accepting diversity as a norm.”
