Salary Range: $35,000- $40,000 annually

EmployAbilities Restart Your Career (RYC) Program is currently looking to fill a Program Assistant position. This position is based out of the Edmonton office and will require the individual to work in person.

Under the direction of the Program Supervisor, the Program Assistant is responsible for program administration (35% of time) and computer support (65% of time) for the RYC Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Case Managers with inquiries follow-ups, eligibility checks such as Employment Insurance (EI), and other related activities
  • Assisting potential participants with submission of their online applications to MyAlberta Digital ID (MADI), as well as to Foundational Learning

  • Monitor participant attendance and advise Case Managers of attendance issues in a timely manner

  • Provide support to the Case Managers and the Computer Facilitator with the delivery of program curriculum, as needed

  • Under the direction of the Case Managers and the Computer Facilitator, provide one-to-one supports to participants

  • Coordinate and support presentation/training sessions offered by external instructors and guests

  • Assist clients with technology needs in both training components, as requested

  • Assist in the coordination of special events (taking photos for annual reports, training activities, set up for potlucks, etc.)

  • Create and maintain up-to-date and accurate files, reports and related documentation such as transcripts, completion certificates, participants IDs, etc.

  • Take minutes during team meetings and distribute completed minutes to team members

  • Develop other reports as requested by the Program Supervisor/Case Manager/Computer Facilitator

  • Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google software
  • High School Diploma with some post-secondary education in a related field
  • Experience with trouble shooting technical computer issues is an asset
  • Understanding of adults with barriers facilitation techniques & learning styles is an asset

Successful applicants will be required to undergo a criminal record check, including vulnerable sector check.
