Our program connects you with expert guidance, mental health support, and practical tools to help you thrive in your career journey.
How Inclusive Career Connections can help:
Inclusive Career Connections provides a range of services to help you succeed.
- One-on-one job support: You’ll work with an Employment Coach in person or online to build a job search plan tailored to your goals.
- Resume and cover letter help: Working with your Employment Coach, you’ll create a resume, cover letters and job applications that showcase your strengths and abilities and stand out to employers.
- Mental health counselling: Access up to five hours or five sessions of free mental health counselling.
- Skills workshops: Inclusive Career Connections can connect you with valuable skills workshops to help you learn job-related skills that boost your employability.
- Connections to employers: Your Employment Coach will help find the right employers who value your abilities. EmployAbilities has a network of progressive and inclusive employers we work with.
- Interview Preparation: A lot of people feel nervous about job interviews! We’ll help you practice strategies to nail your job interviews.
To make things even easier and eliminate common barriers to effective job searching, Inclusive Career Connections offers:
- Accessible technology options: EmployAbilities has accessible assistive technology to help you with your job search and applications.
- Lending library: Use the Lending Tech Library for tools and tech you need for your job search, like computers.
- Bus Transportation: Assistance to ensure you can access the program and job opportunities.
- Follow-Up Support: Once you land a job, the team will continue to support you as you adjust to your new role.
Who can apply for Inclusive Career Connections?
This program is free, but you need to meet these requirements:
- Live in the Edmonton Capital Region.
- Be legally able to work in Canada as a citizen, permanent resident, or convention refugee. (Work permits are not eligible.)
- Have a disability and/or barrier to employment.
- Be ready, willing and able to work!
