EmployAbilities would like to send a huge shoutout to our Job Developers, Elaine Officer and Jon Garland, and to Carola Jankowski, Assistant General Manager at Aramark U of A, for their dedication and partnership in making this happen.

Our participants have shared numerous positive experiences, stating that they feel valued and supported, and that Aramark is genuinely a great place to work. We also sincerely appreciate how welcoming and encouraging Carola and the entire supervisory team at Aramark have been.

This milestone highlights the importance of creating opportunities for individuals with barriers and disabilities. When given a chance, individuals shine and contribute in meaningful ways. 🙌

For students: The Learn 2 Earn program is a 22-week skills development program for youth (ages 15-30) with disabilities or barriers to employment. Students experience 10 paid weeks of employment skills training, including basic computer skills, key certificates, job search skills and more. For employers: The Learn 2 Earn program can help you find Edmonton youth looking to work for your business, located in Edmonton and the area, while saving valuable time and money on training. Learn 2 Earn graduates are trained with a broad range of skills and knowledge. The program offers a wage reimbursement (up to $7.50 per hour, up to forty hours per week for 12 weeks).
