Starting your first job can be stressful, especially if you are a youth and have barriers to employment.
We help connect Edmonton youth with disabilities and barriers to jobs and opportunities. We can help you, too.
The program is delivered in English. Having a solid understanding of English is necessary. Also, participants must be either Canadian citizens, permanent residents, refugees, or protected persons.
The Spring 2025 intake is now full. Please inquire again starting in April for the next intake which begins in July.

The Learn 2 Earn program offered at EmployAbilities will help you through your training to be employed.

Jobs and training for Edmonton youth with disabilities and barriers to employment.
We assist Edmonton-area youth with disabilities to find jobs. We help people who are ready, willing and able to take the necessary steps to find and retain employment through training & certifications.
Please note – if you are on Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH) you are not eligible for this program. Also, a good understanding of English (speaking and written) is required. If you’re a recent immigrant with limited English speaking skills, please reach out to The Newcomer Centre.
Eligible Participants Will Receive:

Living Allowance
$15/hour x 6 hrs/day
for 10 weeks

Completion Bonus
$500 paid after completing 10 weeks
of training and 12 weeks of work experience
