The Government of Canada announced on June 5th that some financial aid would be distributed to Canadians with disabilities to help offset financial troubles caused by COVID-19. This was a one-time, tax-free payment of up to $600.
It is available for people with disabilities who have a valid certificate for the Disability Tax Credit. Those who also eligible for Old Age Security will receive an additional $300. Those who are eligible for both might also be qualified for the Guaranteed Income Support Supplement.
