To celebrate and raise awareness for DEAM (Disability Employment Awareness Month) in October, EmployAbilities Grande Prairie recognized two employers: London Drugs and The Shoe Company.
London Drugs Grande Prairie

London Drugs (Grande Prairie) is EmployAbilities Grande Prairie’s second Inclusive Employer of the Year award winner. The award was presented by EmployAbilities’ Employer Liaison, Jaden Baggs and accepted by London Drugs Store Manager, Shelly, and Assistant Store Manager, Candice.
London Drugs has gone above and beyond in creating a work environment that supports professional growth, diversity, and inclusion. EmployAbilities Grande Prairie has had 2 program participants start and retain work at London Drugs in the past year, and these individuals have reported high levels of satisfaction with their positions, as well as earned well-deserved promotions. London Drugs has been supportive of the EmployAbilities program for several years now and is one of our highly valued employer partners in the Grande Prairie region.

EmployAbilities Employer Liaison, Jaden, was thrilled to present the 2025 Inclusive Employer of the Year award to Jae, manager for The Shoe Company (Prairie Mall location), in celebration of DEAM.
EmployAbilities Grande Prairie is proud of our partnership with The Shoe Company, where 3 of our clients have been hired and successfully retained employment in 2025. Clients have had positive experiences with this employer; they have reported that they really enjoy their roles. Jae, the manager, has shown dedication to supporting their staff as well as the EmployAbilities mission in the Grande Prairie region.
