On February 24, 2026, we proudly celebrated the Grand Opening of EmployAbilities Grande Prairie and FutureWorks Grande Prairie. It was an afternoon filled with connection, collaboration, and hope for the future of our region.

Surrounded by community partners, employers, and supporters, we were honoured to host a Grande Prairie & District Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting, marking an exciting new chapter focused on strengthening opportunities and building an inclusive, sustainable workforce.

We were grateful to hear inspiring remarks from Lori Pollock (Chamber Chair), Mayor Kate Potter of Sexsmith, Brittany Oracheski (EmployAbilities Grande Prairie Supervisor), Maya Adomeit (FutureWorks Grande Prairie Supervisor), and Jason Loewer (EmployAbilities Executive Director), each speaking to the power of partnership and the importance of investing in people.

With more than 40 attendees, the space was filled with energy, optimism, and a shared belief that when communities come together, meaningful change happens.

This celebration was more than an opening – it was a reminder that hope grows when opportunity, support, and community meet. We are excited for what lies ahead and grateful to everyone who continues to support stronger futures in the Grande Prairie region.

EmployAbilities Grande Prairie and FutureWorks Grande Prairie would also like to extend immense gratitude to New Horizon Co-op and Safeway North for their generous donations that helped make this event a success.
