October is #DEAM, which stands for National Disability Employment Awareness Month. This month, we are taking the time to recognize and celebration the contributions people with disabilities have made in the workplace.
This article shares how hiring people with disabilities is good for business, and it is also good for our society. Statistics tell us that many businesses are still not hiring people with disabilities as often as they should, missing out on a vast pool for skilled workers.
In a Canadian Council on Rehabilitation and Work report released in 2017, it showed that 71% of employers surveyed hadn’t hired a person with disabilities because they feared the unknown.
