October is Disability Employment Awareness Month (DEAM)! This month, EmployAbilities North is recognizing employers who know the importance of inclusive and diverse hiring practices, including hiring people with disabilities.
DEAM in St. Paul
The DEAM certificate recognizes employers that have hired and are open to hiring persons with disabilities. One such employer is Brenda Sutherland, manager of Pet Valu in St. Paul. Brenda realizes the benefits of inclusive hiring; she takes the extra time to train and accommodate, if needed ensuring all her staff are successful on the job. Pet Valu is very deserving of this award.
