Mary-Ann faced several barriers, including Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, no prior work experience, and no driver’s license. Initially shy, she worked closely with EmployAbilities Grande Prairie staff to build confidence, improve communication, and develop strategies for focus and workplace boundaries. In January 2025, Fun Park Indoor Amusement Centre reached out to us for staffing support, and Mary-Ann was identified as a strong candidate.

With staff support in preparing for her interview, she was hired as a part-time team member. Since starting her role, Mary-Ann has demonstrated remarkable growth and received positive feedback from her supervisor on her performance. Way to go, Mary-Ann!
