FutureWorks is excited to announce the opening of new Employment Centres in Grande Prairie, High Level, Peace River, and Slave Lake! These centres are your one-stop shop for career support—whether you need help building a resume, boosting your pre-employment skills through workshops, or accessing computers, printers, and job boards to power your job search.

Beyond the resources in our centres, we have a team of enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff ready to provide personalized, one-on-one support. We work with job seekers of all backgrounds, including those with barriers or disabilities, to help them find and keep meaningful employment.

Depending on your needs, you can access everything from short-term Job Placement Services—perfect if you’re close to employment—to our Workforce Development Services, which offer extended support for individuals facing multiple barriers or disabilities.

FutureWorks Services

Resource Centre: Gain free access to resources you need for your job search. Our Resource Centres offer computer stations, printers, job boards, and community resources. We also provide resume and cover letter help, job search strategies and employment workshops.

Job Placement Services: Our job placement services are available to job seekers who have some barriers, but are mostly employment-ready. We offer one-on-one career and employment counselling, interview preparation, workplace exposure courses, job leads, and so much more.

Workforce Development Services: We can assist people with significant barriers and/or disabilities with more extensive job skills training, workplace exposure courses, employment supports and similar services as our Job Placement Services.

Am I eligible for FutureWorks?

To access FutureWorks services, you must be:

  • Legally able to work in Canada

  • 18 years or older

  • Currently unemployed or underemployed. 

  • Ready, willing, and able to work towards gaining employment.

  • Identify as having a disability and/or barrier to employment

Please note that clients with disabilities in Grande Prairie will work with EmployAbilities Grande Prairie. Clients with barriers can work with FutureWorks. 

Mobile Employment Services - Coming Soon!

We will be providing mobile employment services to the following communities on a rotating basis:

  • Grande Prairie Area: Beaverlodge, Clairmont, Rycroft, Sexsmith, Spirit River, Valleyview, and Wembley.

  • High Level Area: Fort Vermillion and La Crete. 

  • Peace River Area: Falher, McLennan, Fairview, Grimshaw, and Manning.

  • Slave Lake Area: High Prairie and Wabasca-Desmarais.
