The Restart Your Career program at EmployAbilities is here to help. This free, 12-week program is designed specifically for Albertans with disabilities or barriers to employment. It helps you build confidence, re-train, learn job-ready skills, and plan a career path that works for you.

Here’s what the Restart Your Career program offers:

Restart Your Career provides a supportive in-classroom environment, with a small group of people in the same boat as you. Throughout the program, participants will benefit from job search and interview skills training, as well as practical workplace skills, including basic computer skills training, career coaching, and personal development support. In addition, you’ll discover connections to employees and work experience opportunities.

Here’s a program breakdown:

  • 230 hours of computer instruction
  • 230 hours of job skills training
  • 140 practical learning with a work practicum
  • Useful certifications like First Aid, CPR, WHMIS and Customer Service

We’ll also ensure you learn in-demand practical skills for working in remote and on-site jobs. Plus, you’ll gain the technology skills that employers are looking for. Most of all, EmployAbilities aims for every participant to leave the program with a clear plan for their future and the confidence to follow it.
