The Regional Abilities Awareness Committee (RAAC) planned an event for St. Paul for the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
Curtis Hargrove was the guest speaker. He was asked to speak about coping with an invisible disability such as mental health, depression and anxiety. He also spoke about his current activities as a fundraiser and runner.
The event was held at SPAN gymnasium and was full to capacity – so very successful! Refreshments and snacks were provided and an award for Excellence in Community from the Premier’s Council on the Status of Persons with Disabilities was given to Dr. H. Rajani for his work with the Lakeland Centre for FASD.
